Central Provident Fund (CPF)
CPF is a mandatory social security savings scheme funded by contributions from employers and employees.
According to Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the Central Provident Fund (CPF) is a key pillar of Singapore’s comprehensive social security system.


Who Should Receive CPF Contributions?
CPF contributions are payable for Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (PR) who are:
- Working in Singapore under a contract of service.
- Employed under a permanent, part-time, or casual basis.
If your emplyee is not working in singapore despite being an Singapore citizen or PR, CPF contributions are not mandatory.

When Must Employers Pay for CPF?
The due date for CPF contributions is on the last day of the calendar month. Enforcements action would be take against employers who fail to pay by the 14th of the following month. (or the next working day if the 14th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Public Holiday.)
Failure to file/pay CPF on time or falsifying CPF filings may result in fines and even prosecution.
How Do Employers Contribute to CPF?
There are 2 options for employers to contribute to CPF:
Option 1
Apply for a CPF submission number via CPF’s website using your SingPass account.
Option 2
Login to CPF EZpay and follow the instructions.
