Miscellaneous Pass
Miscellaneous Work Pass (MWP) which has replaced the Professional Visit Pass, is designed for foreigners working in Singapore on short-term assignments of up to 60 days.
Eligibility
The following groups of foreigners would require a MWP:
- Foreigners involved in activities directly related to the organisation or conduct of any seminar, conference, workshop, gathering or talk concerning any religion, race or community, cause or political end
- Foreigner religious worker giving talks relating directly or indirectly to any religion
- Foreign journalist, reporter or any accompanying crew member not sponsored by any Singapore Government agency
Documents required
- Miscellaneous Work Pass Application Form
- A synopsis of the talk the applicant is involve/participating in
- Company’s business profile/registration papers
- Recently taken passport size photograph
- Personal particulars page of applicant’s passport/travel document
*A copy of the original papers must be submitted for non-English documents or certificates and the official translation is to be done by a certified translator, High Commission/Embassy or a notary public.
Application Process
Miscellaneous Work Pass can only be submitted manually with the completed MWP application form and supporting documents at any SingPost.
The application process will take approximately three weeks from the date of the application. Failure to give the due time allowance of three weeks will result in their application being rejected.
Issuance of Miscellaneous Work Pass
- Successful applicants are only allowed to participate in the particular programme at the specified venue and date as stated in the approval letter sent to the local sponsor
- MWP applicants have to ensure that they have a valid short term visit pass when participating in the programme
- The local sponsor is required to inform MOM Work Pass Division in writing three weeks prior to the date of the approved original programme if there is any change in the short-term assignment
